Frequently Asked Questions
The NeuroMassage Training path is designed exclusively for qualified massage therapists and bodyworkers who want to specialise in working with clients living with neurological conditions. These are advanced, clinically focused courses that are CPD-accredited and recognised by major insurance providers.
The NeuroWellness Training path is for anyone who supports or cares for someone with a neurological condition – family carers, support workers, NDIS workers, and personal trainers. No therapy qualifications are needed. These courses focus on practical, everyday skills: communication, safe touch, dementia support, sensory needs, and carer wellbeing.
If you are a qualified therapist, the Professional path is for you. If you care for, support, or work alongside someone with a neurological condition, the NeuroWellness path is yours.
None at all. The NeuroWellness courses were specifically designed for people without a medical or therapy background. Whether you are a family member caring for a loved one, an NDIS support worker, a disability carer, or someone who simply wants to feel more confident and informed – you are welcome. The language is plain English, the content is practical, and the focus is always on what you can do from day one.
Yes. All professional NeuroMassage courses are accredited by the CPD Group and are recognised by leading insurance providers including Towergate, Westminster, and Physique (UK), and by Massage and Myotherapy Australia (MMA) for Australian therapists. This means you can practise with full professional indemnity cover for neurological client work once qualified, and your CPD hours count toward your ongoing professional development requirements.
The NeuroMassage course library covers a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), motor neurone disease (MND), acquired brain injury, and cerebral palsy. Two additional specialist courses – Dementia Massage and Hospice & Palliative Care Massage – are coming soon. Each course goes deep into the neuroscience behind the condition, how it presents in a massage setting, how to adapt your techniques safely, and how to work within clinical and care teams. These are not overview courses – they are designed to take you from general practice to confident specialist.
The NeuroWellness courses are currently in development and will be launching soon. The full suite includes courses on empathetic client communication, understanding neurological terminology, safe touch for carers, dementia day-to-day support, carer wellbeing and burnout prevention, and sensory needs in neurological conditions. You can register your interest on any individual course page and you will be the first to know when it launches – no commitment required, just your email.
Yes, all courses are delivered entirely online and are self-paced, so you can learn around your work schedule and other commitments. There are no fixed class times. You work through the course material at your own pace, and can revisit content as many times as you need. This applies to both the professional NeuroMassage courses and the upcoming NeuroWellness courses.
Absolutely. The NeuroWellness Training path was built with NDIS support workers, disability carers, and aged care staff firmly in mind. A significant number of NDIS participants live with neurological conditions – acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, MS, Parkinson’s, and more – and this training gives you the practical knowledge to support them more safely and confidently. The courses are plain-English, require no prior qualifications, and are designed to be immediately useful in your day-to-day work. The Australian site (neurotrainingschool.com.au) is also recognised as an MMA Approved Provider, and is developed with NDIS Quality and Safeguards standards in mind.
