Entry Requirements For Neuro Training School.

Who can enrol in Neuro Training School massage courses?

Our courses are advanced specialist CPD – not introductory training.

Neuro Training School courses are designed for experienced massage therapists and complementary health practitioners seeking specialist continuing professional development in neurological care. These courses are not suitable as an entry-level massage qualification.

Working with clients living with neurological conditions – such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, brain injury, and cerebral palsy – requires more than basic massage knowledge. These clients present with complex, ever-changing needs that demand clinical reasoning, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the body.

Our courses build on your existing knowledge. They do not replace foundational training – they go beyond it.

For this reason, we require all students to hold a minimum qualification level before enrolling. The specific requirement varies by country, reflecting the different qualification frameworks used internationally.

Why do we require a higher level qualification?

Many CPD courses accept any qualified therapist regardless of level. We have made a deliberate choice to set a higher bar – and here is why.

Neurological conditions are complex.
Parkinson’s Disease, MS, stroke, and brain injury each affect the nervous system in ways that require therapists to understand anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and clinical reasoning at an advanced level. A therapist without this foundation cannot safely or effectively apply specialist neurological knowledge in practice.

We are raising the standard of the profession.
Neuro Training School exists because the massage therapy profession lacked a recognised specialist pathway for neurological work. We are not just filling a gap – we are setting a new standard. That standard starts with who we train.

Our graduates work with vulnerable clients.
People living with neurological conditions are often medically complex, may have multiple co-existing health conditions, and deserve the highest standard of care. We have a responsibility to ensure every practitioner who completes our training is ready to meet that standard.

Our insurance recognition reflects this.
Our courses are recognised by Towergate Insurance, Westminster Insurance, and Balens Insurance for specialist neurological massage practice. This recognition is conditional on the practitioner being suitably qualified and trained. Setting a minimum entry requirement is part of maintaining that standard.

Insurance Recognition

Completing a Neuro Training School course does not automatically provide insurance cover. Insurance recognition means that our courses meet the standard required by these insurers for therapists wishing to work with neurological clients.

UK therapists: Our courses are recognised by Towergate Insurance, Westminster Insurance, and Balens Insurance. Graduates wishing to obtain specialist insurance for neurological massage practice should contact these providers directly.

Australian therapists: We are working to establish formal insurance recognition in Australia. Please contact your insurer directly to confirm cover for neurological massage work following completion of our courses.

Setting the Standard for the Profession

Massage therapy is an unregulated profession in many countries. There is no legal requirement for therapists to hold specialist training before working with neurological clients – but there is a professional and ethical responsibility to do so.

Neuro Training School was founded on the belief that people living with neurological conditions deserve better. They deserve therapists who understand their condition, who can adapt safely to their needs, and who have been trained to a standard that professional bodies and insurers recognise.

By setting entry requirements for our courses and maintaining the highest standards of curriculum and clinical education, we are not just training individual therapists. We are helping to build a new standard for the entire profession.

That standard starts here.
